RE: SAFETY RECALL NOTICE
According to our records you are the owner of the Kawasaki motorcycle detailed above.
Kawasaki have determined that a potential safety problem exists on your machine. It has been identified that the tyre valve nut on both wheels may crack due to a combination of stress and corrosion.
Accordingly, it is possible that a crack in this nut may result in a reduction of tyre pressure. Riding with incorrect tyre pressures can adversely effect the handling and performance of your machine and may create a risk of an accident possibly resulting in personal injury.
Kawasaki Motors (UK) Ltd in consultation with the Department of Transport have therefore initiated a SAFETY RECALL to repair affected machines. This recall consists of replacing the tyre valve nut and washer with modified parts in order to prevent this potential problem occurring.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE THIS WORK CARRIED OUT.
The Kawasaki dealer of your choice will carry out this work free of charge. Please contact them to arrange an appointment.
The response rate for this recall is being monitored by the Department of Transport.
If you no longer own the motorcycle detailed in this letter, please URGENTLY complete the relevant details overleaf and send it back to us in the FREEPOST envelope provided (no stamp required).
